Before I even get into what this blog is about I want to say thank you for clicking the link that brought you here. I mean its pretty obvious that you’re on my website now and I’m sure you’ve already scrolled through all the pages… right? Well if you haven’t don’t worry, you can go check it out now or even after reading this, you might even understand it better!
In case you’re wondering, this is my photography portfolio together with where I will definitely be bragging, ranting and writing not only about my travel experiences but more so about my photographic experiences. I’ve been passionate about photography for about ten years at least, only started getting good at it a few years ago. Haha! I’m not going to write about why I love photography because let’s be honest, that’d be too easy! I’m just going to give you a little intro about my journey, how I got here & what I’m doing today, almost like a history lesson but just more exciting!
So “Why Photography?”. Well photography to me is a way of expressing myself allowing me to access my thoughts and feelings and capturing moments that have the potential to remain for a lifetime, whilst attempting to connect with and understand my subject matter. With photography I get to decide what I want to shoot and how I want to shoot. By now you have probably gone through the categories and see what I can offer. This includes Portraits, ranging from Family portraits to Fashion & Lifestyle Portaits, Food & Product Photography, Events Photography and lastly Travel and Landscape Photography.

Child portraits is what I enjoy the most, obviously after travel and landscape. Personally, I would recommend shooting on location as opposed to planned portraits in Studio (not that I don’t offer this too). The difference with the portraits that I produce is that they’re more natural, more about what the client wants and very little directive from me. Why? This is because photo shoots, in general, are tiring and tedious for the client, especially children, so they should get to have fun while doing this and at the end of the day, it is the client paying me! :p.
Jokes aside… having studied Sociology together with photography I tend to recognize people and societies in a complete different manner, through a sociologist eye. For this reason, my aim with my photographs is not only to capture ‘prim and proper’ moments but rather to share stories and portray the realities that most tend to miss. Allowing children, couples, families and societies to expose themselves as they really are!
The same goes with my Travel and Landscape photography, my objective is to create a visual lens not only for people to view the beauty of nature and places but also for them to understand the problems and the intensity of these problems in society. This will allow me to capture photographs that speak a thousand words and can continue to speak for a long period of time.
